Are running sneakers really important?

I am beginning to train for an 8k i will be running. I am going to run on pavement. Should i get running shoes or are regular wear sneakers ok? please let me know

a normal day in the city, people walking, going places… but then, a pair of adidas running shoes was jogging along seemingly without belonging to a body. what gives? you find out at the end what’s going on, pretty nice one. funny, too.

What is the full name of the adidas stan smiths which were either all white or all black and featured the face of stan smith on the outside of the heel? they were only released probably 2 or 3 years ago, id love another pair but cant seem to find this old style anywhere. any help??

Save Money with Your Running Shoes The rule of thumb in replacing your running shoes is to find a new one when you have run at least 400-500 miles on your old ones. The more you care about your running shoes, the longer they will last. Here are some tips to make your shoes last longer : 1. Use your running shoes only for running. Even though running shoes are very comfortable, dont use them for everyday activities aside from running, jogging or working out. 2. Wear and take them off properly. Make sure you untie the laces before you take them off or wear them. The more your shoes are stressed with the tension brought by limited space, the faster they will wear off. 3. Do not use direct heat to dry off your shoes. If you wash your shoes or it gets wet, never dry them out on direct heat such as a radiator. 4. Alternate running shoes. Your running shoes will last longer when you provide them with enough time to breathe-out or decompress between your running routines. 5. Store your shoes properly. Store your running shoes in a cool, dry place away from moist and direct heat. 6. Never wash your shoes using the washing machine. If your running shoes need washing, use your hands to scrub off the dirt. Do not use strong detergents or hot water. Air dry is better that direct heat.

I know New Balance has a different number for each model and that they produce shoes of all shapes and sizes. I was wondering whether 700s are meant for one thing and 300s were meant for another, etc. Or maybe the numbering system is just random? Can anyone help me out?

Thanks!

My boyfriend’s sneakers have completely fallen apart, and we’re looking for replacements. It would be nice to find the same pair. They are very similar to the flat Adidas superstars with three stripes on the side, but without the shell toe. Also, the back heel of the shoe is rubber. Does anyone know the style name? Could anyone suggest a place besides Ebay to find discontinued/older versions of Adidas sneakers?
They aren’t sambas, and the style name isn’t anywhere on the shoe. Oh, and they’re white with red stripes.

An American manufacturing success story. New Balance is the only athletic shoe company still producing in the US. Watch the associates of our Skowhegan, Maine factory in their Made in the USA video.

I really don’t like tennis shoes very much, and I normally wear flats or flip flops, but this fall I am going to need more comfortable shoes to walk around a college campus in. Do you know of any cute tennis shoes that don’t look like athletic or running sneakers?
